Ottawa Pastoral Counselling Centre
Individual, Couple & Family Counselling
The Anglican Church Caring for the Community
Services
Deeply rooted in our Christian faith and values, our aim is to help individuals, couples or families regain their sense of direction during times of need. We believe that providing advanced counselling for people with a wide range of needs is a necessary ministry of the Christian community. We seek to create a supportive environment, a "safe haven" of acceptance, in which people can address problems, issues and challenges. We believe it is only from a place of acceptance that we can risk growth and change in our lives.
For more information or an appointment, call 613-235-2516.
The Ottawa Pastoral Counselling Centre offers a compassionate attitude, ethical practice standards, and skills-based competency in our counselling. Our Clinical Supervisor, Dr. Brenda Saxe provides regular supervision, supporting our therapists as they work with clients to achieve these goals.
The OPC seeks to care for all those who come to the Centre. However, situations involving medical or psychiatric issues, long-term counselling for persons actively addicted, or ongoing domestic violence are referred to other specialists who can provide more effective care.
In addition, the OPC is an Employee Assistance Plan provider for a number of non-governmental organizations and corporations in the National Capital Region.
